Marcus Conyers, PhD
Dr. Marcus Conyers is co-developer with the psychologist, Dr. Donna Wilson of the BrainSMART® Health Wise program for supporting brain health and cognitive performance through effective lifestyle strategies. He has shared this work with more than 100,000 participants in hundreds of live events nationally over the last 20 years. He is also co-developer of graduate degree programs with Nova Southeastern University that include elements of the BrainSMART® Health Wise approach. More than 2,500 students from 47 states and seven countries have graduated from these programs. He is the co-author of 20 books in this field including the third edition of BrainSMART® Health Wise which will be released in 2018. An international speaker who has worked in 30 countries, Dr. Conyers has worked with a range of organizations such as the Winter Park Health Foundation, Rollins Center for Health Innovation, Texas Education Agency, Sony, AT&T, Ford, Air Canada, RCMP, Ernst and Young, Bell, CSIS, NatWest Bank, Grants of St. James, CPC, Kraft, Kodak, Amoco, Philip Morris and Joint Special Operations University.
Dr. Conyers presents internationally at conferences with Cambridge University in the UK, Leiden University in the Netherlands, Dubai University, in UAE, SAPA in South Africa, STU in Singapore, HBE in Australia, universities across Canada, as well as Harvard University/PIRI, Florida Atlantic University, University of Central Florida, and Rollins College in the USA. He is a member of the International Association for Cognitive Education and Psychology, American Educational Research Association/AERA’s Brain, Neuroscience and Education SIG, and the American Society of Preventive Cardiology.
Dr. Conyers led three-year initiatives with Florida DOE and Florida Atlantic University with an Annenberg Challenge Grant. He refined his models working with 100,000 participants reaching millions of learners. Audiences include ministers of education in South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Ontario, Canada.
