The Graduate Programs

 

Bring the benefits of decades of cognitive and brain research into your classroom and earn your Master of Science with a major in Brain-Based Teaching (BrainSMART Teaching) or Educational Specialist with a major in Brain-Based Teaching (BrainSMART Teaching) to advance your career in as little as 12 months of study. Delivered through convenient and user-friendly distance education systems, these degree programs allow you the flexibility to complete your program of study from home while maintaining your full-time job. The program focuses on equipping participants with knowledge of how breakthroughs in brain research, student achievement, instructional leadership, and cognition can be translated into best practices in classrooms and schools.  Unique program features include:

  • Powerful learning you can use in your classroom and apply in your professional and personal life

Choose from the following degrees:

Master of Science (M.S.) with a major in Brain-Based Teaching (BrainSMART Program).
Concentrations:

Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) with a major in Brain-Based Teaching and a concentration in Teacher Leadership (BrainSMART Program).

The NSU/BrainSMART Ed.S. program is designed to help teachers and teacher leaders enhance student learning through more effective teaching and teacher leadership.

Also available is a 15-credit minor as part of the Ed.D. program
