BrainSMART exists to empower all learners with the knowledge and skills they need to reach more of their brains’ unique potential. Since 1998, team leaders Dr. Marcus Conyers and Dr. Donna Wilson have been researching, developing, and implementing their pioneering BrainSMART® programs for applying the science of learning in the context of education, health promotion, and business. They have worked with more than 160,000 leaders, trainers, and educators, reaching millions of learners around the world.
The team has partnered with institutions such as Florida Atlantic University to design and deliver teacher training; Nova Southeastern University to research, develop, and grow the world’s first doctoral minor, Master of Science, and Educational Specialist degrees focused on applied Mind, Brain, and Education science (BrainSMART® Programs); and Rollins College for health promotion initiatives. Studies of impact have been presented at leading research conferences such as AERA, AACTE, IACEP, and the Implementation Science Conference at Cambridge University.
The BrainsMART team has authored 20 books and shared key elements of their BrainSMART® programs at thousands of live events across the United States and Canada as well as in a growing number of locations throughout the world, including, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Australasia.
